Adam was 18 years old when he was fatally injured in a car accident, on 6th August 2006. Adam was a passenger in the car and the uninsured driver was speeding.
The same boy who was driving that day was one of two youths who stole my son's car the night before, "for a bit of fun!!"
The reason Adam was in his car was to come home and collect his documents so he could get his car back from the police station. I am so angry because my beautiful boy had worked so hard to get his test, licence and his car and pay to have it legal on the road.
Adam died 10 days later on 16th August, without ever regaining conciousness. Adam's death has devastated so many lives.
Adam was a gorgeous, kind and caring young man who was loved by all who knew him. He had just celebrated his 18th birthday and should have had his whole life ahead of him. He is missed terribly every day and nothing can take away the ache in my heart.
Adam's brother Lee, has been deeply affected by his death and can't bring himself to talk about it. Lee has no other siblings and finds each day lonely and empty. Lee and Adam weren't just brothers, but best friends too.
Adam's little cousin Caitlin, who was just 7 when he passed, has been devastated, they adored each other.
Adams friends were all stunned by his death. They remember him always and leave lovely flowers and messages for him at his grave. This means a lot to me, to know that they still think of him.
His auntie Ruth summed up Adam's lovely nature, saying she saw him at his nana's house on mother's day 2006, taking a bunch of flowers to nana, even though he had 3 of his mates in the car.
There will be no more flowers from adam now, just flowers for his grave.
